DWT was delighted to pick up the award in the Best Sustainable Tourism category for The Pump House Environment Centre at the recent Visit Worcestershire Awards for Excellence. Winners of were announced on Thursday 15th October at St Andrews House Hotel, Droitwich.
Attendees to the event heard from Lady Cobham, Chairman of VisitEngland, Gary Woodman, Executive Director of Worcestershire LEP and Stephen Badham from Creative England. Lady Cobham was appointed at VisitEngland’s Chairman in 2009 and reappointed in 2013 and awarded a CBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List 2014 for her long service to English tourism. As one of the winners, the Pump House will now go forward to the VisitEngland Awards with the opportunity for national recognition.
