Education is a vital component of the work of The Duckworth Worcestershire Trust.  Through education we aim to help people perceive, understand, study, improve and enjoy their natural and built environments.

The Schools’ Environment Fund

The School’s Environment Fund was set up by the Trust to provide local schools (in Worcestershire) a chance to gain funding to do environmental projects. There is a total of £4000 available over the course of the year that schools can apply for.

Shop/Cafe

The Pump House Cafe is situated in the visitors centre and seats up to 15 people inside with seating also available in the south facing garden.  The aim of the Pump House shop is to promote the use of ecologically sound household products with a refill service that minimises waste and encourages reuse before recycling.

Environmental Warden Team

The Trust currently has two Environmental Wardens who work with local agencies and groups to maintain protect and preserve Worcestershire’s varied environment.

Volunteering Opportunities

The Trust offers a whole range of volunteering opportunities including conservation volunteering, a litter warden scheme, and work placement opportunities.

Rubbish?  Sort It!

The Duckworth Worcestershire Trust’s Rubbish? Sort It! campaign aims to raise awareness of the issues surrounding litter and recycling and to promote positive environmental action. It is run in partnership with Worcester City Council, Encams and Helping hands.
