Christmas Cheer in Pershore

The Duckworth Worcestershire Trust  Warden Team has once again this year helped with the installation of Pershore’s Christmas Tree. The Warden team often lend a hand to cut the trunk (using a chainsaw) down to size so that it can fit into the stand ready for the festive season.

Merry Christmas !

Chapter Meadows Wildlife Sightings 3rd December

A very cold and misty morning saw little activity on the meadows. All the ditches and the pond were frozen solid and snow covered most of the meadows. The following birds were seen through the mist along with a Grey Squirrel and a couple of Rabbits:

Green Woodpecker, Great Spotted Woodpecker, Starlings (9), Song Thrushes, Magpies, Long-tailed Tits, Great Tits, Blue Tits, Blackbirds, Dunnocks, Crows and Woodpigeons. There was a mixed flock of finches which contained Goldfinches and Chaffinches feeding along the hedgerows.
