Bike Know How cancelled this weekend

Sorry everyone but the bike know how workshop planned for this sunday, 30th October has been cancelled. All other dates in the future are still good to go.

Pump House Pumpkins

All are welcome this half term to see our display of pumpkins in the cafe area, including a special carved one by local sci-fi & fantasy artist and DWT volunteer John Harding.

John has  2 exhibitions this holiday in Sidbury, Worcester; a special Halloween one at the Kestrel Gallery in Sidbury this weekend and also a display case in the Commandary until November 3rd. Check them out but not for the faint hearted!

The Pump House cafe and eco shop now accept all major credit and debit cards.

on Tuesday 27 September and Saturday 1 October.

 

The local team from FOREVER LIVING PRODUCTS will be here to show you the remarkable properties of aloe vera and how it can benefit our health and wellbeing on many levels.   Forever’s natural range of aloe vera and beehive products include; drinks and supplements, personal care, beauty products and cosmetics. Many of the products are also suitable for animals, and there are lots of lovely, gift wrapped Christmas ideas.

 

DWT will also donate 10% of all cafe sales during the event to Macmillan Cancer Support.

 

So please come and join Forever and the Duckworth Worcestershire Trust and spoil yourself with coffee and delicious home-made cakes, do a little Christmas shopping, and help us to raise money for MACMILLAN CANCER SUPPORT.

Fall dates for Worcester EC Babies

Worcester EC Babies meet every second Saturday in the month upstairs in the Pump House meeting room to share the skills used in environmentally friendly Elimination Communication which is a gentle learning practice in which the caregiver uses timing, signals, cues and intuition to respond to an infants need to use the toilet.

Apple Pressing Days

Transition Worcester have organised Apple Pressing Days in and around the city during September, October and November.

Perfect if you have a glut of fruit from the trees in your garden.All you need to take with you is the fruit and bottles and you’ll leave with your own pressed juice!

Free ‘Build a bin’ practical course

Free Practical Compost Awareness Course

A date for your diary- Wednesday 4th May 2011; at 11.30am the Pump House is hosting a build a bin event run by the Master Composters of the Worcestershire County Council. Finish time is approx 13.00 in time for a light lunch in the Pump House cafe, which caters for all dietary requirements and serves locally made light bites which are dairy and gluten free.

It is a practical hands on session re-using materials to build a compost bin in the south facing garden of the Pump House, with a chance to ask the experts all your compost related queries and a chance to socialise with like minded people and to gain practical knowledge.
